  • What Identification do I need to bring my metals to Maryland Recycle?

    For the general public, Maryland State Law requires you provide us with a valid photo ID. You can bring your drivers license or state issued identification card. 



    All scrap must be free of oil, gas or any other hazardous material. 

  • Do I need an appointment?

    You do not need an appointment to bring your scrap materials to us. We offer quick, friendly, convenient service. 

  • What items do you take?

    We accept all types of:

  • What items do you not accept?

    Pressurized containers/tanks, radioactive material, hazardous, corrosive or explosive material is not accepted. We also do not accept glass, paper, cardboard, dirt/debris, bricks or concrete. 

  • How can I tell what type of metal I have?

    The magnet test is an easy way to determine what type of metal you have.


    If the magnet sticks to the metal object, it is steel or iron. This is known as ferrous metal.


    If the magnet does not stick to the metal object, it will typically be copper, aluminum, brass, or stainless steel. This is known as non-ferrous metal.


    You can bring your material to any of our yards and we will be able to determine what type of metal you have. 


  • Do I get paid the same day?

    We offer cash on the spot for your material. If you would like a check, we will glady provide you a check same day. 


    For commercial/industrial customers, we can also set up an account for your company and pay out monthly. 

  • Will you pick up my material?

    We do not offer household pick up. However, we offer roll-off service for large quanities. If you would like to request roll-off service, give us a call. 

  • Can I recycle metal that is rusty or dirty?

    Yes, you can recycle metal that is rusty or dirty. However, the quality and value may be affected. Any of our buyers can help you identify any material and give you a fair price.

  • How should I prepare my scrap metal for recycling?

    Scrap metal should be separated by type and cleaned of any non-metallic materials like plastic or rubber. 

  • How much money can I expect to receive?

    The amount of money you can receive for your scrap metal depends on a variety of factors, including the type of metal, the quantity, and the current market conditions. Visit our pricing page or give us a call.
